Handpicked Carmenere

Region: Maipo Valley, CHILE

2008

The Carmenère variety was thought to be extinct until some cuttings were discovered in Chile. Now it is a flagship varietal for Chilean wines. The Handpicked Carmenère is single variety wine, composed of carefully selected parcels of fruit from different valleys.

The result, a multi-dimensional wine, a fusion of unique character. It is a new concept in wine that reflects Chile's diversity and Eduardo Jordan of De Martino's pioneering spirit. Eduardo Jordán is an internationally regarded Chilean winemaker.

TASTING NOTES
The Handpicked Carmenère presents beautifully to the EYE with a deep red colour and shades of violet. On the NOSE, it has intense notes of red fruit, tobacco and cassis that are perfectly accompanied by subtle hints of vanilla. The PALATE is full bodied, very fresh and concentrated with a perfect balance between the red fruit, vanilla and chocolate.
