HANDPICKED WINES PETER DOUGLAS SELECTION CHARDONNAY 2007 BY GARY WALSH It's light and fresh with honeydew melon, hints of pineapple and a little citrus. Some spicy woody oak sits on the top. Clean, direct, fresh and refreshing - it’s not deep but has decent length and offers excellent value. Exactly the sort of wine to drink in summer while standing up at a BBQ, if you’re a Chardonnay fancier that is. Rated : 89 Points

HANDPICKED MOSCATO OLTREPO PAVESE DOC BY GARY WALSH It's one of those questions wine writer types ask themselves every now and then - how do you rationally rate Moscato? No problem really as it’s all about balance, like most things. It’s complex and a little bit cheeky with marzipan, flor yeast, honeydew melon and apple flavours. Not too sweet with those yeasty savoury characters providing an excellent counterpoint. Fresh and really very fizzy - this is refreshing as well as fun. In short, it gets the point and hits the spot.
